We started our new Debating Society this year in MPETSS. So, far, it has been a great success. Students from every year group are involved and we recently participated in the Educate Together Secondary Schools National Debating Competition.
Although we were not successful, members of our Society including students and staff, went on to become judges for the concluding rounds in the competition. Their involvement was invaluable and gave them a great opportunity to learn about the judging and marking systems in debating. Something we are sure will stand to them in the future! We look forward to our Society growing from strength to strength in the coming years.
