News about Partnerships and Grants

We have successfully applied for and received the following grants which will allow us to run different programmes in the school.

World Wise Global Schools Grant-This supports our work around the Global Goals and Development Education. Natalie secured this and manages this area in collaboration with other teachers. The students do cross curricular work.

Creative Engagement Grant- Ann Marie is to thank for this. This grant will give the opportunity to students to have an Artist in Residence programme running in Art in First Year. We will be working with Michelle, a celebrated stained glass artist in Offaly. Michelle will come to do several workshops with the students and we hope to facilitate a visit of the students to her studio to see the glass blowing techniques.

Sports for girls

We have been fortunate to have success in acquiring a grant for supporting girls’ engagement in Sport. Clodagh is to thank for this. We look forward to initiatives over the year.

Writer in Residence

We have also the possibility of a Writer in Residence for an English group. Anne has been successful in securing this grant.

Digital Excellence Grant

This grant is what funds the Maker Space on Tuesdays and workshops in school.

Second Year Parent/Student/Teacher meeting

This is on Tuesday 5th of December.

School closes at 3:25pm and Meeting runs from 4:15 to 6:35pm.

There may well be other events coming up yet to be scheduled…watch this space!
