Thursday 10th February, we were delighted to welcome local legend, Nicky Cleere as a speaker to our TY group.
A former Dublin minors captain from Malahide told students of his remarkable road to recovery following a hit-and-run accident in Portugal in 2009, which changed the course of his life forever.
ocal GAA legend, Nicky Cleere captained his county to a Leinster minor title in 1999, going on to win a Leinster Under-21 title with Dublin.
A tragic hit-and-run accident in Portugal in November 2009 left Nicky in an induced coma and four months in intensive care in Beaumont Hospital with an acquired brain injury.
The students were inspired by his attitude and focus on making the most of life.
Many thanks Nicky, your visit has inspired us all.
